Burberry Fall 2017 Ready-to-Wear Collection
Christopher Bailey, the chief creative and chief executive officer (CEO) of Burberry, has created a collection which portrays the British style along with the lofty eccentricity of the aristocracy and the street style.
“A little more honest, a little less polished,” was how Bailey described it up backstage.
Bailey referenced Burberry style influencers of the more recent past, and the plaid baseball caps, hooded hanoraks, and techy track pants spoke to the everyday wardrobe of the working class hero. Fair Isle sweaters, argyle socks, and penny loafers, to name a few—the clothes born out of his culture clash had a modern tension about them that was entirely fresh and new.
